City Council Candidates Forum, 31 August 2011

The Ogden Ethics Project sponsored a city council candidates forum at Union Station on the evening of August 31, 2011, attended by about 65 citizens in addition to the eight candidates. The candidates answered prepared questions for about 45 minutes, followed by about 45 minutes of questions from the audience. The moderator was Kimbal Wheatley, a professional facilitator who lives in Ogden Valley. Besides the formal portion of the forum, candidates also spent considerable time mingling with the public before and after.

The candidates for City Council At-Large Seat C were Jacob Culliton, Landon Halverson, Stephen D. Thompson, and incumbent Amy L. Wicks. The candidates for the Municipal Ward 2 seat, representing Ogden's north side, were Richard Hyer, Jennifer Neil, Todd R. Wallis, and Courtney Jon White. You can read a summary of the forum in the Ogden Standard-Examiner.

Embedded below, in six parts, is full video coverage of the formal portion of the forum.
